I’m personally Guyanese and Jamaican.
In Guyana the people are typically Indian, Chinese, black or (rarely) white or mixed. Pretty much the same thing applies to Jamaica… though Jamaica is mostly black.

Due to the slave trade the natives were enslaved and mixed with Indians, Chinese and Africans and the white people that forced themselves upon the native’s women.
It’s been like that for generations and centuries that’s what the Caribbean is so diverse and the food is so mixed.

They were included in the slave trade as well or were indentured servants. That’s literally part of the history of my ancestors. As I said I’m very mixed being Indian/ Pakistani, Chinese, black and Irish and Italian. My own genetic makeup is a tell of the past 🤷🏻♀️
