@SHoddeMiller The 1-minute rule (I think this was from Gretchen Rubin)— if the task is going to take one minute or less, do it NOW instead of putting it off.

@conserve_p TBH, if my parent implied that I was mentally ill for voting democrat, I wouldn’t be lining up for dinner either.

@NJBeisner Circumcision is best-practice, standard of care for boys with congenital defects of the urinary tract like VUR, as it can reduce risk of irreversible kidney damage. To say broadly that there is no health reason to circumcise is patently false.

@nextdrdrew @William_E_Wolfe @SHoddeMiller No, the post says to be forthcoming about who you’re voting for “if you want to influence people’s votes.” She doesn’t want to influence voters for a specific candidate, she wants to influence them for Jesus.

@realgirl_fieri Our school allows parents to Venmo into a class fund at the beginning of the year and then the two “room parents” do/buy ALL THE THINGS and it’s amazing

@realgirl_fieri I really thought once my kids started sleeping through the night as infants that the “nighttime parenting” portion of my life was done HAHAHA

@thissucksbruv @slooterman On the contrary, entitlement is believing that you have more of a right to exist in a space than other citizens (parents and/or children) simply because it’s what you’d prefer.

@OnceGreatAm @slooterman @RorateCaeli “Keep them at home until they can behave appropriately” — how exactly do you figure a kid learns to behave in a restaurant if they never go to a restaurant? Behavior isn’t a result of just instruction, it’s also the result of repeated practice

@aBowTiedGiraffe It’s not “just” feeding your child. It’s hormones, never getting more than 2.5 hours of consolidated sleep, physical pain, elimination diets, having no bodily autonomy, being on call 24 hours a day while trying to recover from a 9 month marathon and a major medical event.

@clhubes It’s important to give kids the practice. Our kids are now 5 and almost 8; we eat out four+ times a week and we always have. It was work when they were younger but now they have no problem ever. A 5 year old who behaves at a restaurant is a 2 year old with 3 years of practice.

@realgirl_fieri I’m so sorry to hear this— try to take care of yourself in this season (I feel confident he’d want that for you)

@realgirl_fieri I share much-needed information and education about formula feeding and help destigmatize and de-shame the bottle feeding experience in a "Breast is Best" world 🥰
