SoCal fire update: gas is back on, water is safe to drink, UberEats is allowed to deliver in our neighborhood again. I had @Chilis for dinner last night and feel like a new woman after showering in my own home.

Our gas has been shut off for an undetermined length of time. Our tap water is contaminated and we’ve been instructed not to drink it. We have no heat, hot water, or way to cook outside of a microwave. I’ll continue to update, but that’s the latest!
Latest update from this crazy week: the National Guard is here blocking the entrances to our neighborhood. Nobody is allowed to leave or come back. Apparently the looters have been really bad and they don’t have a handle on it yet. 🙃

Update: Mark went home to assess everything this morning. Our street and our home is safe. Other streets in the neighborhood are totally wiped out. 😔 Very grateful that we are okay, but so devastated for those who lost everything. Donate to disaster funds in LA if you can!
Scared and sad right now. We found out that homes just a few streets away are on fire. We are still safe and hotel hopping today with the dogs to escape the smoke. We didn’t have much time to pack up, so we only have the very bare essentials with us.

Came home to absolute chaos after work today. We have evacuated with the dogs and are staying at a hotel for the night until we can assess the situation tomorrow. ❤️
