Conversation with 3 student athletes this week. All struggling with time management.
Player: “I’m struggling to keep up with all my class work and practice, I don’t wanna quit, but I don’t know if I have time for it all”.
ME: “ Let me see your phone. (Contd….)

My kid has been thru Culinary 3 at school. This means I am no longer qualified to make meals. I can’t even help. When I do he just barks orders and yells at me. But the food is fabulous, so I let him.
I have listened to so much Latin music on my pandora, that all my commercials are in Spanish now. Even when I flip it to the country station. The “Today’s country” playlist for batting practice with Spanish commercials is really confusing for my guys. 😂😂

“The desire to win is the same as the desire to do your best, and only those who are trying to win are trying to do their best. That’s why winning is important. It’s the path to finding your best.” Beecham
“Standards become habits, and habits become outcomes. Few people realize that exceptional outcomes are almost always achieved by people with higher-than-average standards,”

“In order to do well in a competitive environment, we must learn to focus on the process, not the outcome. Teams that win at a high rate don’t talk about winning. They talk about how they want to play the game” - S. Beecham
I think we should move leap year day to July 32nd instead of Feb 29th. No one wants an extra day of winter. And anyone born on Feb 29th can move their bdays to July so they can experience a pool party bday. It’s a win win

“Demanding the best from people, holding them accountable, not accepting their excuses, and telling them to do something again are not acts of brutality - they are acts of love.” - Beecham

29 yrs ago I traveled with AIA Baseball to FL, DR 🇩🇴, VZ 🇻🇪 , and Aruba. Jason Lester directed that trip.
Today - I dropped my son off in Xenia OH to play summer ball with the AIA team there. The director for this summer is also “The” Jason Lester. Life has come full circle.
I think a better

golf play-off would be to let each opponent take a club out of the other guys bag for each extra hole they play. So 3 xtra holes- I get to take out 3 clubs from ur bag that u can no longer use. And vice versa.

"The courage to start.
The discipline to focus.
The confidence to figure it out.
The patience to know progress is not always visible.
The persistence to keep going, even on the bad days.
That's the formula."

Sittin in the backyard this morning, saw a cardinal, blue jay and an oriole fly by and thought, “This may be the closest I come to watching baseball for a while”.
Forget about what you want. It’s a waste of time. It will not help you improve your performance. Instead, become obsessed with how you spend your time, choices you make, and who you hang out with. Because how you spend your time will dictate what you ultimately become. - Beecham

1)Was a juco Asst for 11 yrs. would work r recruits and finish with exit velo off the tee. Started tracking it. Last 5 years there all r best hitters could hit 93+ off tee. 2) HR Derby off a tee works. Guys compete and start to feel what works and what doesn’t. Instant feedback
College coaches want metrics. An OF that has 89 avg exit velo. Runs a 4.1 to 1st and throws 78mph. L/L. Avg. metrics? Don’t know if those
