Political parties must become more democratic! Each candidate should be voted on by local party members and an open process to all members of the party.
The law should be changed. A political party has an absolute right to choose who it's candidates are. I, for example, shouldn't be able to stand as a Tory candidate and complain when rejected because I don't agree with their basic philosophy.
