@possum_simp @SarasCrazyLife I'd be really leery about doing that with a C2. By leery I really mean I wouldnt touch that with a 10 foot pole.

Regulatory Boards: Here is the law, you must follow it Me: Okay but the law says this, so I should be able to do that right? RB: We cant give you legal advice. Me: Okay, but what if I do this, is that okay? RB: We cant help you. Me: Okay RB: We are here to investigate that you broke this law Me: The one I asked you about that you couldn't clarify? RB: Yes Me: So you can clarify it enough to ding me on it, but not give clarification on how I can not break it RB: Yes.
IRS: you owe us taxes Me: how much do I owe? IRS: you get to figure that out Me: can I just pay what I want? IRS: no we know exactly how much you owe but you have to guess the number too Me: what if I guess wrong? IRS: jail Happy tax season!

So me calling an MD's office to have an MA/receptionist say "oh thats fine" when I ask to switch from protonix to prilosec is fine right? Not even asking the MD, just giving me a verbal approval for something like that. Should I demand to speak to the MD to get the verbal auth to get it changed? What about Ventolin to Proair? Or the different flavors of Glargine that technically arent FDA approved to be interchanged (but they are all the time)? Some common sense has to be applied here, whats the line between "not good practice" to "why is the pharmacy wasting my time with this".
@theangrypharm That would be illegal, at least in PA. Substituting for a generic of a branded drug is fine. But "sub to whatever is covered" is not good practice.

@TRae764357 Involve pain pills, a new part-D plan, and the 7 day inital fill override that wont take PPS codes. They start calling EVERYONE.

@notaproviderMD So I take it you're gonna be the one who's going to do all the prior auths then?

@DanielBarkerMD Like I said before, your results will 100% depend on the pharmacist. Just ask they fax you what it was changed to for the chart
