If somebody you know has been shot. Hold pressure until your hands go numb like literally it will be painful to them but it CAN SAVE THEIR LIFE and tell them to just breathe!!! Keep them calm as possible. And make sure you direct ONE PERSON to call 911.

If they stop breathing start CPR/ 30 compressions and two breaths!!! At a consistent pace! Go 2 inches deep when pushing! Don't stop! Ask someone to take over if you're tired! Make sure someone is still holding pressure over the wound..... TIME IS TISSUE. Keep the blood flowing

I found out my NCLEX results at work in the break room on FaceTime with my man and my mom. It was a black nurse in there with me and she started jumping and crying with me. It was literally the best moment of my life during that year.

Use your resources! A lot of states got an "employment and training" programs! They paid for my childcare for the WHOLE TWO YEARS. I didn't pay dime!

Nurses when you put your credentials on your resumes, applications, jackets etc... always put your highest degree first, then your license or certifications. For example it's not RN,BSN. It's BSN, RN. Remember your license can be taken away, but not your degree. -NurseJy💕
