@cherrytherula
my parents said it was okay for my 12yo sister to be in a relationship with our 16yo neighbour...make it make sense because I cannot understand
doctor who spoilers///
I don't care these specials were for everyone needing to heal and everyone who misses someone they've lost and everyone who carries around guilt and everyone needing to rest and everyone who hasn't had a safe space
@chipotletwink
my gran asked my sister "do you have a girlfriend yet" and my sister was like ...... and my gran was like "I'm not an idiot rebecca I do have eyes"
doctor who spoilers///
as a nonbinary person who loves this show more than anything I feel like weeping we have a nonbinary trans character saving the day!!! and she's donna's daughter!!!
doctor who spoilers///
this to me was the most natural part of the episode. sylvia says something I can easily see one of my parents saying, who are good-natured when it comes to this stuff but miss the mark sometimes. I'm so glad rtd didn't make her transphobic though
doctor who spoilers///
doctor who really said the battles won't last forever and they'll all be worth it when you can sit with the people you call your family and find peace and happiness and as a chronically ill person I needed to hear that
if you don't know what happened you have no right to police people's anger. he's not calling for people to be fired but rather stating his conditions for a potential return
doctor who spoilers///
I'll never be angry over people returning or deaths being undone or happy ever afters because I think people need to believe in fairytales and not gritty realism
doctor who spoilers///
all the bigots celebrating when it was announced rtd was returning must be screaming at their tvs but trans and nonbinary and disabled people belong in doctor who and ARE doctor who and anyone who says otherwise is wrong
doctor who spoilers///
maybe some people didn't like bi-generation but if doctor who sends any message across its 60 years it's that things can always be fixed and made right and happiness can always be found even if it takes time and sometimes there is a happy ever after
doctor who spoilers///
the six month time jump really irritated me because I've been saying already with fifteen and ruby it seems like rtd wants the inherent bestieism of past doctor and companion duos without putting in any of the legwork and that's just been proven
@EllenPompeo
the "someone else has it worse" argument holds very little value to me because there is Always someone who has it worse than you, but that doesn't make your struggles any less. the issue with afghanistan should be talked about but not in a way to "humble" struggling students
companions who deserved better:
- martha jones (constantly overshadowed by rose and treated like shit by ten)
- donna noble (grew so much during her time with the doctor and then had it all erased)
- bill potts (only got one series, turned into a fucking cyberman, died)
I mean it so seriously when I say I want sylvia to be the most adoring grandmother ever I want her to treat rose five times as well as she should have treated donna I want her to have her redemption whilst it's acknowledged that donna deserved this from her too
Welcome to the
#DoctorWho
family, Rose Noble 🌹➕🔷
Wishing a very happy birthday to Yasmin Finney, whose character Rose is the daughter of companion Donna Noble (played by Catherine Tate) and Shaun Temple (Karl Collins).
BECAUSE IT IS NOT AN OH NO I DON'T LOVE HER BACK IT'S AN I'VE WASTED ALL MY TIME WITH HER BECAUSE I THOUGHT SHE NEVER LOVED ME AND NOW I'M GOING TO DIE
thasmin being paralleled with graham and grace (3 years together), adam and jake from praxeus (astronaut and police), bel and vinder (hologram, travelling everywhere to find each other) and nick and sarah (3 years of crushing, nye confessions) I WILL CRY I WILL
this is the jodie whittaker who brought in thasmin screenshots to s12 filming, the mandip gill who reposts thasmin fanart on her story, the sophie aldred who will talk enthusiastically to anyone about ace being queer and the jemma redgrave who thinks kate is a lesbian
my hottest take is I genuinely think over 60% of people are nonbinary but have just been socialised to think they're either male or female because they feel a connection to a binary gender
when yaz and ryan were asked if they were dating it was a straight up NO but when yaz and 13 were asked there was a moment of gay confusion and silence. yaz said that they were friends but lesbians are historically known to not know that they are dating. in this essay I will
thinking about ten having a london accent because of rose and twelve having a scottish accent because of amy and thirteen having a northern accent because of clara
JO ASKING KATE IF SHE WAS PRETENDING THE WHOLE TIME AND KATE THINKING JO WAS BENT AND JO PROVING SHE WASN'T AND THE TENSION IN THE CAR AND JO WAS SO SCARED FOR KATE AND JO NOT WANTING TO DROP KATE IN IT I JUST
#LineofDuty
y'all w/ a male doctor and female companion: uwu they looked at each other and hugged they're so in love
y'all w/ a female doctor and female companion: nooo eww can't the doctor ever have friends? since when have they dated humans eww
admit you're homophobic and go
y'all understand that a doctor who episode doesn't have to be huge and important to be good right? don't shit on praxeus just because fugitive of the judoon was so big
When Russell T Davies takes over Doctor Who can we just pretend the Peter Capaldi and Jodie Whittaker eras never happened?
No knock on either of them, they did the best they could with absolute nonsense, but would be great to get the show back to its roots
idea for the 60th:
13 takes yaz to pride. there she meets 12 who's taken bill, 11 who's taken clara and 7 who's taken ace.

I think sylvia and donna's conversation about rose can also be a message to parents of trans/nonbinary kids that it's okay to get things wrong as long as your heart is in the right place and you're trying
doctor who spoilers///
I do love fifteen but I will say that the relationship between him and ruby feels ingenuine compared to other doctor/companion dynamics like I need to watch their bond grow not just have a time jump and believe they're besties seconds after meeting
when asked if they can say a sentence without the letter a:
yaz: *long ass paragraph without using the letter a*
ryan: do one word sentences count?
graham: fuck off
thirteen: tordis
all this time jodie and mandip were like "there's nothing planned" "well I wouldn't mind it as long as she uses lip balm" etc AND THEY WERE THE ONES FUCKING PLANNING IT
@ people who buy one of these water bottles every day, if you live somewhere where the tap water is safe to drink then please for the love of the planet either buy a metal water bottle or refill your one from before
a concept: 13 finally hugs yaz and yaz gently pushes her away. we get sad polite cat face 13 then suddenly yaz goes in for the kiss of the fucking century and all the gays become immortal
yaz being such a careful and thought-through display of a closeted, still questioning sapphic and being terrified of it and of anyone finding out despite everyone in her life that we've seen being overly supportive (najia, dan, thirteen, ryan, graham) means so much to me actually
doctor who can preach their diversity as much as they like but they still had danny and mickey as the annoying boyfriend that got in the doctor's way and bill and especially martha were mistreated and given only a fraction of the development of their white counterparts
reasons I relate to mandip gill:
-constantly shitposts and it's brilliant
-in love with jodie whittaker
-also indirectly says fuck the hets
-thinks 13 is a lesbian
-ships thasmin
