The challenges on Survivor pre merge have a huge emphasis on brute strength. Forcing all tribes to strongly consider “keeping the tribe strong”. There’s more than one “strong”. It’s time diversify the challenges. Currently it disproportionately affects women.

Is there anyway that Tommy would have won if Tommy was a woman? I believe he would have been a no vote loser with his game, and his final tribal performance, had he been a female. And I think Tommy played a great game. It’s just something I keep thinking about.

I understand the passion of fans. I understand the amount of love for the game. But shut the hell up when it comes to getting MAD at the Survivors because they didn’t vote the way that you think they should have. Don’t tell people to apologize!

We all need superheros in our life. We need role models. We need people to look up to. If you have seen season 39 Survivor you've endured a LOT. The reward is that we got to meet some stellar individuals- Kellee, Jamal, and Janet! They rose to hero status in my book!

My all time favorite winner is Yul. And perhaps emotionally I picked him as my winner pick. But, GOLLY, he showed us all again that he’s full of strength, intelligence, dignity, authenticity, and compassion. Could not have asked for a better person as an ambassador of our game.

Previously this morning my biggest fear about season 40 was that 19 of my heroes would be losers. That same thought also brought me great joy. Getting torches snuffed is what makes this show so epic and real. NOW IVE GOT SO MUCH MORE TO FEAR!

Yesterday I hosted Survivor themed challenges at my private family reunion. I was the producer, art, challenge, food, medical, and dream team, and JEFF PROBST! Gotta hand it to the guys that do this in real life! It’s harder then it looks. Everybody had a blast 5-75 yrs old!

An important nugget for fans to know is that playing the game takes a huge toll on you. Physically, emotionally , relationally, and mentally long after the game- And then comes your edit, completely out of your control. And then comes the fans that say hateful personal attacks.

Sometimes you don’t realize how freaking good your food smells until you go outside and then come back in. I was making orange monkey bread, and had to go outside with the dogs. Upon returning I was overjoyed by the smell. Enjoy life RIGHT NOW! Take note, love deeply and breathe!

One of my favorite things about Survivor is comparing what’s on our tv to what’s happening in our world. I’ve talked with my daughters about sexism. Today we talked how persistence and intelligence can be and often is eventually rewarded. Sometimes you win.

Thanks for all the love y’all! The bamboo bed was torture to my back. I never got more than an hour of sleep in the night. The lack of sleep dramaticly affected my ability to think and speak. I became desperate and irrational. I was fighting for my biggest need- brain power.

One year ago today I got on a plane for Las Angeles. Lots of excitement. Lots of hopes. A whole lot of unknowns. I never would have imagined that I would find genuine love in my heart for each of the Survivors on my season. So incredibly blessed to be a part of this family!

Variance. Christian talked about variance in his Survivor lecture. Variance is not what I’m going for when I brew espresso at home. But it always ends up different than the cup before. This morning was one of the best cups ever. Problem is I don’t know what I did differently.

My worst fear about the whole theme was how the jury was going to work. For the one that does makes it back in the game basically has a huge *^%# advantage to WIN this season. it’s almost an advantage to be voted out. For one. IoE takes the drama out.

Small subtle change at final tribal Jeff changed the wording of the “outlast” segment. Some people are drug, some people float, some people hide, but some have to claw and fight kicking an punching to make it. Kinda sad I didn’t get the credit for this important change.

In case you missed it last night I went fishing in Fiji. Like I went fishing on Survivor. With a spear thingy. Dude, I can barely swim. But I got to pretend to be Ozzy. Darn it that water was breathtaking!! The fish were magical. And my fishing buddies were the best ;)

Accomplishment and growth can often go unnoticed. As we were finishing up breakfast I realized that I didn’t cut up the pancakes for either of my daughters. I know it may sound silly, but they are growing up quick. We need to look for growth in us and the lives of those we love.

I’ve found myself needing Survivor at different times in my life. Survivor helped (along with therapy, meds, spiritual growth, exercise) pull me out of the worst depression of my life. However I didn’t realize how much I currently needed it, until I watched last night.

If you ever want to do something awesome or that reminds you how fantastic life is—go on a whale watching cruise. It was one of the top five nature moments of my life. Full on “feeding frenzy”, hundreds of dolphins, six or more whales. SPECTACULAR

As a mom, sometimes you get to eat crunchy pancakes. My five year old helped make the batter. She cracked the eggs, and yes there were shells. But she was soooo proud of herself!! May we all be more like Abi and not be afraid of shells in the batter of life.

IoE increases authentic relationships without game stress. But probably most importantly is subconsciously the ones on IoE will want to legitimize their struggle by voting for their victorious comrade to win. Which basically strips this season the essence of Survivor. To survive

I just witnessed something hilarious. As a mother of three I can’t even go to the toilet without being bothered. My four legged counterpart just attempted and failed to poo in peace and quiet. The new puppy kept jumping on her. Different species but same story- Moms understand!

To every mom out there that struggles with mom math, I feel your pain. One kid plus one day = 7 pairs of clothes. 1 bath equals 2.3 towels per child. 3 children, 1 husband, and four dogs = 2.9 loads of laundry a day... mert, ugh, sweet Jesus please give me strength.

I’ve rewatched blood vs water, South Pacific, Pearl Island, and Fans vs Faves for my second time. Heroes vs Villians for my fourth or fifth time. I’m watching One World for my second time RN. And planning on watching Cambodia, Game Changers, Guatemala, and Philippines again.

I think this idea sounds better than the idea of 38. Almost any major plot twist will work if the cast is great! Thankfully they get twice as many applicants per newbie casting slot this year with only having one newbie season. So that should double the odds of a great new cast..

I hate whining. And I’m not much for babying my kids. Tonight my 6 yr old asked me to cut up her chicken. I exclaimed “That’s why God gave you teeth kid!” Then I realized she has lost all but one front tooth recently. Wow! I can be a jerk. I just had to look her in the face!!!
