Re-upping this story. The U.S. Marshals Service aircraft that circled over Portland protests for hours did so about three weeks before federal agents arrived here. Makes you wonder what sort of surveillance was being conducted, and if it was a pre-cursor to what we're seeing now.

Breaking: USPS confirms it has removed four mailboxes from Portland and 27 from Eugene. A spokesman cited "declining mail volume" during the pandemic as the reason for removal. USPS is only removing boxes where there are multiple boxes stationed.

New: Oregon Health & Sciences University announced today that it will stop using prison labor to do its laundry. Since 1995, the hospital has sent its laundry to be cleaned at Oregon State Penitentiary by inmates who make less than $1 an hour.

Sam Adams told police that he tried to record video of the altercation, which culminated in Ted Wheeler pepper-spraying a man in the face. But Adams was only able to record audio on his phone, the police report says. WW has obtained that audio.

The lawsuit also names PPB Ofc. Kerri Ottoman as a defendant. It alleges that Ottoman leaked the false allegation to the Coalition to Save Portland PAC, which broadcasted the claim on a Facebook livestream hours after the initial 911 call was made.
