All these efficiency gains are great, but it doesn't help snow range. Efficient tires? Well, youll have different tires in winter. Better aero? Not a big deal when you're only going 40mph on a snowy freeway. Some things like better insulation can help use left energy for heat in winter. In the end, winter is won by a big battery plus efficiency.
Tesla says the tires on the new Model Y are the most efficient they've ever made. "They have lower rolling resistance, better handling and less road noise, coupled with a brand new suspension design."
