Getting expelled from creche for beating other babies, fighting a goat till i dislocated my shoulder, drinking a bottle of phenergan and sleeping for 3 days, putting my hand in a pot of hot water to bring out the egg my mum was boiling for me, using my mum's inhaler as perfume.
Tbh, my parents told me most of these things. But the creche ish, they mentioned they tried restraining me from crawling by tying my foot to the bed, but when other kids still crawled towards me, I'll beat them so they 'politely' asked my parents to stop dropping me off
We didn't even realise cos we were sleeping. My dad beat the hell out of us in the morning.
PS. I am a changed man now😊😊😊😊😊
But for real I guess I might have been a tough one to handle.
My aunts reminding me of my childhood escapades.
Mehn I was a crackhead🙈🙈🙈
1. Got expelled from creche
2. Drank a bottle of phenergan and slept for 3 days
3. Fought a goat and got my shoulder dislocated.
4. Ran away from home to go play soccer with adults
I think I was fascinated by the goats horns and wanted to play with it, then I grabbed the horns and it kept yanking it's head till I dislocated my shoulder.
My God is indeed faithful.

Incredibly proud of my incredibly smart and beautiful girlfriend

The only one I vividly remember is the inhaler story cos I was about 5/6. My sister and I found my mum's inhaler in her purse and because of the cold sensation it gave when we sprayed it on our bodies, we sprayed the whole thing and unfortunately my mum had an attack that night.
The hot water one was actually wild, went over to the pot, stuck my hand in, brought out & held on to the egg then started to cry. My parents said my fingers were stuck together for a while due to the burns. They mentioned they had to apply Dermazin cream for a long time.
The phenergan story, I kinda came across a bottle of cough medication which was sweet, and I downed the whole thing and my mum found me passed out. Was taken to the hospital or something, where they were reassured cos I was still breathing and all.
August 2019. I single-handedly saw over 300 patients in my hometown in Osun state during a medical outreach organized by the foundation we started in memory of mum.
Signing out of Neurosurgery for the next four years with a microdiscectomy case with the team before i transition to the lab to do translational research on recovery of motor function in spinal cord injuries.
Grateful for the opportunity to have undergone this Neurosurgery Pre-Residency Fellowship under Prof Wale Sulaiman. Over the last 18 months i have learnt, grown and become a better trainee.
Its been a crazy ride but i remain grateful to the amazing team i worked with.

, I am Temitayo, an ECFMG certified IMG interested in Neurosurgery. I am seeking research or clinical opportunities in Neurosurgery. I have research experience, undergone an 18 month pre-residency fellowship under Prof Wale Sulaiman and completed the USMLE steps.
Me: Today will be chilled at work, no OR, just rounds.
Acute SDH: Hold my drink😢
The beauty of surgery is in detecting a problem, and solving it immediately with the knife
I was on call for 24 straight days whilst on Neurosurgery service because we had only 2 house officers and no junior resident doctors.
We had about 80 patients on admission with a steady influx from the ED.
I WAS WALKING AROUND WITH A BP OF 150/100 MMHG.
STOP THIS FALLACY PLEASE

No medical doctor works 24/7 please except if they are doing multiple jobs at very hospitals. And on the case of paying more fees, science and tech students also pay more fees than those in art and commercial, does that mean they should have special salary privilege too?
Me: Taking social history from patient. Do you take alcohol?
Patient: No
Me: Proceeds to document
Patient : But I take blood tonic
Me: Ok
Patient: Blood tonic as in small stout
Me:
I followed this woman for a conference where she gave an oral presentation and boy oh boy. I am ready to pay ten times the bride price or I should just become a house husband because I have secured the bag 🙌
We were in a small group teaching session with the consultant.
He asked me a question, I was still ruminating on how best to answer the question.
Consultant: Ah ah. Hulk, you can't tell me you are all brawn, with no brain.
The thing pain me die because I sabi the answer.
All women do is steal hoodies. Infact, they all should be arrested prophylactically because if she hasn't stolen one yet, she definitely will at some point in the future.

I used to beat the other kids, the nanny tried restraining me by tying my foot to the foot of the bed, but when the other kids crawl towards me, dem go still chop beating. So the management thought it best to expel me.
Innocent me... Can you imagine 🤣
May 26- received a Neurosurgery prelim offer in the US
May 30-turned it down to continue Neuroscience PhD pursuit
I went from not knowing what to do next to having to chose between two fantastic options.
Thank you Jesus. I am grateful and excited for all that's ahead.
I walked into a bookstore this morning and a wave of nostalgia hit me. It's crazy to think I went from reading all the books in the pictures below as a teenager to not reading a novel in 10 years. Studying medicine really took away my affinity for books😢.
Its crazy to think that almoat everyone in my family's got a PhD degree or undergoing a PhD program.
My parents both have their PhDs, my babe is about to finish hers, my sister is undergoing a PhD program, i am about to start mine.
Perhaps my lil bro will pick up the gauntlet.
No Nigerian is more Nigerian than any Nigerian. What's all this madness about tribal subjugation and disenfranchisement.
What's the essence of education if these are the silly sentiments we'll still choose to abide by.
And shame on you as a Christian if you support tribalism.
Then there was this time, my lil sis and I came across my mum's inhaler and we thought it was perfume, so we started spraying our bodies till we finished the can.
Later that night, my mom had an asthmatic attack.
My dad beat the hell out of us in the morning
