Just deleted my post re. Trump and Musk's effort to shutdown USAID. I was too focused on USAID as a tool of US imperialist soft power to the point of downplaying the positive impact some of its programs have on poor and marginalized communities, especially those with little access to healthcare and other humanitarian services. I stand corrected. Trump and Musk are not simply unmasking USAID's fraudulent operations. They are, in fact, dismantling whatever good that USAID's programs have been giving to those in need. There is no reason at all to be glad about this and every reason to be outraged. My apologies to everyone.
