@tayloramurphy I think teams that have the “data engineer” who cranks out pipelines sitting upstream from the “analyst” who cranks out dashboards are fundamentally broken teams.

@willmcgugan Multiple instances! Does this mean I can have a live demo of Harlequin on now?

Working on something new in Harlequin: adapter-defined interactions with data catalog nodes (e.g., use schema, drop table, insert columns in editor), selectable from a nice context menu.

Someone completely new to databases and the command-line opened a GH Discussion to ask for help using Harlequin. I remember being in those shoes, so I recorded a video to help them. Voila:

We've been getting these comments on our projects since yesterday, any advice on how to prevent them? (Apart from blocking after-the-fact.)

@matsonj It's always been shocking to me that recruiters, sales reps, and others haven't taken to spamming people on GitHub. It's just such a valuable audience. I hope this is just a blip and not the beginning of the end.

@nattaylor @hamiltonulmer Thanks, Nat. Fwiw, my stance on lowercasing has softened substantially. I think a —no-lowercase and/or —no-lowercase-names option are on the horizon. @hamiltonulmer there’s a simple Python API, which is how dbt Cloud’s IDE integrates with sqlfmt. Docs:

@JohnKutay Looks like I’m wrong — Snowflake seems to have some support for it but almost nobody integrates that way. Tableau and Looker are called out in their docs but I’ve connected a lot of other tools to Snowflake and don’t think I’ve ever done an OAuth flow
