Abs are a young mans game. Nobody has any cash or real success yet, so there's some value with women and they help you standout. Once you reach 30, abs turn into more of a homo signal. Still should look like a unit and stay fit, but energy should be on cash/building/career

Couple of rules when getting engaged (that I made up): -Get down on one knee when asking, tradition is good -Ask her father, tradition is good -No pictures of you on one knee, for her and god to see only -No saying She said yes!! Like a fag boy. Don’t emasculate yourself

When you see a founder getting fat, the startup is probably exploding with growth. If a founder is getting fitter, probably not much going on and he has some free time. Free alpha for VCs, invest heavily when you see them a little chubbier in between meetings.

Biggest advice in finding a woman is putting yourself in the proximity of women. Suburbs you’re in the proximity of families and divorced 40 year olds. Also zero point in buying a house before married w kids. “Home equity” is a boomer justification, not a real investment vehicle

I would not recommend this. One year ago I bought a house in the suburbs as a single guy and it's been perhaps the most lonely, depressing, stressful, and isolating times of my life. I learned the hard way that property should come after you're engaged/married.

One of the early and embarrassing phases that most men go through is the "Look at me, I'm crushing it" phase. Very feminine in nature. Next realization is that you're above average but still a loser compared to the big winners. Then you get back to work and cut the girl posting

You need to be both insecure and irrationally confident to be bigly successful: -Insecure in that you constantly don’t think you’re good enough and need to work harder to matter how high you rise -irrational confidence to always believe you can beat the unbeatable insecurity

Prompt engineering is funny in that people don't realize that it kinda works on yourself as well. Before walking into a meeting or a date, or going for a deadlift PR, you can literally talk to yourself and convince yourself that you're the man and this is easy, and then it is.

Another important phase in a man’s life is shunning all of the NPC behavior, saying sportsball is gay etc. Then you get closer to 30 and you realize you’ll have to deal with the normies for the rest of your life at parties, work events etc so you check box scores for small talk
I have been to 3 weddings this year and I have reached my NPC tolerance level for the next 10 years I know we joke about this stuff on MT but there really are people that revolve their lives around weekend beers and football games and get offended at everything you say

Taxing unrealized gains is retarded. But taxing illiquid unrealized gains is even more retarded. Most startup founders have millions in paper gains without a market to sell to, who would need to take out 7 figure loans to cover the tax liability. Would be catastrophic for many!

Lot of movement between the Tier 2 cities, people jumping from Denver to Portland, Seattle to Miami or Austin after 2-3 years. It's a different type of person who moves there in the first place, chasing new highs, can't really settle down. Don't see that in the Tier 1s like NYC.
