Worth noting that minimum wage is $7.25 (since 7/14/2009) and also, he is a student, so working part time while also in school. This is why people are looking at Greene, Owen, Lawrence counties. Normal people cannot afford to live in Bloomington.
Also. The $940 / month is very much the low end. New units just built on the west side near Ivy Tech & Cook - 1br, $1,539. That's $28.86 an hour full time.

My son was apartment hunting here in Bloomington. Rules are basically you need 3Xs rent as income per month. $940/ mo, 1br. The math says you have to make $17.63/hr working 40 hours a week. Y'all know this is bullshit, right?
