himeru's narrative has always been about a boy who forced himself to grow up too fast out of a sense of necessity, it would've made his story much worse if he was actually a grown man during obbligato imo
It's always so important that himeru's internal monologue is laid completely bare to the reader; for us to know exactly what he's thinking at all times. And conversely, it's always so important when tatsumi's thought processes are hidden, with only his words to trust
It doesn't even really contradict obbligato either bc kaname could've been an affair baby and after himeru's mom died, tojopapa thought of marrying kaname's mom, which made himeru run away .. he just didn't know kaname existed at all
it makes much more sense for the tojos to be close in age siblings that were Both inexperienced and struggling with their feelings as teenagers than for oremeru to be a Grown Ass Man who wanted to control every aspect of his little brother's life even when he should know better
It has never rung true to me that kaname would resent or hate himeru for what he's doing. of course, they can reveal otherwise in future events but This is what kaname thinks of him, what he means when he says that his brother is like a god to him
like he didn't know better because he Couldn't have truly known better! he was 17! he wanted to project this adult and capable image because that's what had worked for him all along upon deciding to be wholly independent at too young an age but he was still a teenager!
himeru has only ever acted on his assumptions from what kaname has Told him. he's shocked when he finds out that kaname felt suffocated by the HiMERU persona, but before that, he was operating entirely under the assumption that kaname REFUSED to have his place taken away from him

to commemorate my one year tatsuhimeP anniversary, a stream of consciousness thread of thoughts regarding them, the ship, my journey with them and other such things...

WAIT I'M SO SAD... in rinne's birthday talks the original jp has rinne referring to himeru as "himerun" and himeru actually refers to rinne with his first name T__T but i never noticed because engstars changed it to himerunrun and amagi...?!
"remember when he tried to bury his roommate alive" Yeah and it was funny and to protect oshi-san. Plus he thought he was dead so he wasn't consciously trying to kill him but even if he was why wouldn't you want someone who'd kill and bury a body for your sake.
oremeru was never going to be that much older than kaname when he literally got a growth spurt in the time between obbligato and present time and constantly referred to himself as younger than rinne in his internal monologue (where he has no act to keep as kaname)
it's so funny how i kept interpreting tojopapa as a cheater and now that's really shaping up to be the most plausible explanation like Girl you're horrible!
Alright. epiphany time.
in himeru's idol story 1, we see him talking about ghosts, he's looking for information about ghost stories that have been spreading, thinking they might be related to him and kaname. then, he expresses that He, specifically, hates the occult

hello, I don't tend to make tweets like this but I don't think people should participate in a week of this nature without knowing the things the mod has tweeted. for reference, this person is a transmisogyny exempt non-lesbian, and this spread of biphobic rhetoric is very harmful
And that's exactly how enstars writes them and one of my favorite aspects of tthm. because tatsumi is so open and honest, he doesn't need much of an internal monologue of things he's hiding from the characters but that we as the audience need to know. They're the same, mostly
