Any serious analyst in India knows that the Indian government can not put its eggs in the AL/Hasina basket anymore. That basket now belongs to Beijing. That is exactly why conversation between India and BNP, backed by US guarantees, could secure Indian interests in Bangladesh.

🇧🇩🇮🇳 Really insightful column by Chandan Nandy. India is losing (if not already lost) its control over AL and Hasina. IMHO, the best card Indians now have is cutting some kind of deal with BNP, Tarique. The West will not back a 1/11 style army takeover.

Nasty piece of hit job. Mushfiqul Fazal once working with Khaleda does *not* mean or prove Milam and Danilowicz are working for Tarique. How can a deputy foreign minister of a country stoop so low and share batshit crazy conspiracy theories!?

Everyone must know these ex diplomats are not impartial. They never were, even when they were serving in Dhaka. Question is, are they doing it free of charge ? If not, who is paying them ? We know the 'why' answer.

I see a lot of whataboutery on Twitter. BNP government's crackdown on and police violence against AL activists in 2001-2006 does *not* in any way justify AL government's crackdown on and police violence against BNP activists in 2023. Is that too hard to understand? 🤔
