grateful to share our work with @Stanford_Neuro residents! conducted with a stellar team who is not on twitter :)
A new study by @tarinigoyal1 et al. published in @PalliativeMed_j shows that a brief, learner-centered curricular intervention significantly improves neurology residents' confidence and skills in serious illness communication. Great news for improving patient care and outcomes!

I have been so inspired watching this work take shape from the very beginning -- frustration about a difficult case, transformed into rounds of problem-solving, and now an elegant study of over 400,000 patients. Kudos to my friend and co-resident @coculber!
We are thrilled to have our work on MRI utilization for #stroke patients with CIEDs (pacemakers, ICDs, etc) published this week in @Neurohosp. Despite proven safety, MRI is heavily underutilized in this important stroke subpopulation 🧠🫀

Important read & a startling reminder of uncertainty in neurodegenerative disease progression (aka "dwindling" cc: @cj_creutzfeldt)
For Medicare to cover hospice, patients need a 6-month prognosis. I wrote about how that rule disadvantages people with dementia for @washingtonpost. (1/8)
