Allgeier's historic night overshadowed Jaren Hall quietly having 391 total yards and 4 TD's. All three starting WR's had TD's. All around AMAZING effort from the offense. MVP goes to this inexperienced OL. Kept Jaren clean and opened up holes all night for Katoa and Allgeier.

Such an under appreciated storyline is how solid Will Ferrin was this year kicking FG's. Never attempted a FG before in college, reports out of spring ball were our kickers were absolutely awful, and he put in the work and was super reliable this year.
Transfer kicker Will Ferrin had never attempted a FG in college before coming to BYU. There were reports in the spring of major kicking woes in the program.
He came in and made 11-of-14 FGs (tied for 10th most accurate season in BYU history).

Random thought. I really, really want Christopher Brooks to succeed. Hope he starts to gel and hit his stride in the 2nd half of the season. He put his trust in joining this BYU squad without even setting foot on campus. Just seems like a good dude too.

Puka avg 93 all-purpose yards/game and had 12 total TD's his last year at BYU in 9 games. Average that out to 17 games (NFL regular season) and he would have 1,575 all-purpose yards and 23 total TD's.

At the very least Kalani needs to pull a Bronco, fire Tuiaki, be a leader and take over the defensive play calling the rest of the year. Bronco did this and it turned around BYU’s defense in 2010 after he fired Jaime Hill. Saved that season from being a losing one.

Win or lose this Thursday both Utah and BYU have a lot to look forward to for the rest of the season with big time teams to play. I hope for BYU fans if we lose to Utah it doesn’t decimate home attendance and support. I know I’ll be attending every game regardless of our record.

Just FYI Jaren Hall has averaged 289 all-purpose yards and 2.3 TD's in 10 games this year. If he had played all 12 games with those numbers he'd have 3,468 all-purpose yards and 28 TD's in his first full year starting against arguably a top 5 hardest schedule in BYU history

Zach Wilson came in and did exactly what you want to see from a rookie in their first NFL game. Smart decisions, got rid of the ball quickly, accurate, smart with the ball. Kudos to his line for giving him time for the most part as well.
