Such sad news, it was a pleasure to honour Ron Hill as a freeman of the Borough in 2019. The 3 time olympian really put Tameside on the map with the Tour of Tameside as well as being a one of the boroughs entrepreneurs and an overall gentleman and inspiration to the many.
It is with immense sadness we today mourn the passing of British running legend Dr. Ron Hill M.B.E.
