Is it possible for Ippei to wire 4.5m without Ohtani noticing?
Former MLB Translator "yes"
Ministry of Finance staff "yes"
Fomer Athletes who have been embezzeled "yes"
Numerous accountants and bankers "yes"
Some random twitter junkee ”ya'll financially illiterate".
Shohei Ohtani had a streak of 35 consecutive scoreless innings at Angel Stadium going so his home planet called him during the game to ask him to look human for an inning so he wouldn't blow his cover.
Pretty smart. 🛸👽
I’ve followed the Angels closely for 6 years.
Ironically, because of Ohtani, now MLB to me is bigger than just Ohtani.
As a Japanese baseball fan I will root for Ohtani to be the best player ever.
But as a sports fan I can’t just suddenly support the Dodgers.

Administrative leave only applies to the domestic-violence policy. There are other teller purses, but the fact Ohtani himself hasn’t been accused of gambling, and that there’s no evidence any party gambled on baseball, probably helps him under MLB’s scope at this point. (2/2)
Now I'm aware that there are other experts who say "no". The point is, this is not about financial literacy. We have to look at other avenues.
The biggest argument against Shohei lying about it is that he is falsely accusing Ippei of massive theft, which carries huge legal risk.
Angels fans think getting rid of Ohtani is suddenly gonna get 3 SPs who can pitch on 4 days rest and get 12-15 W and 3.00 ERA a year.
Sure, Anderson is gonna get back to his 2022 form and Sandoval and Detmers will suddenly be invincible.
There’s a 37 page public document that outlines everything.
Ohtani’s innocence is an objective fact.
It’s also an objective fact that conspiracy theorists have literacy problems so perhaps this is 36 and a half pages too long for ya’ll.
This guy is correct. TAA for all the stick he's getting for matching up with Mitoma has still done enough to make it difficult for him to score, but Milner makes life for Mitoma so much easier. He was invisible leading up to that outside-of-the-boot cross that nearly got a goal.
The Liverpool press has collapsed after Henderson & Milner came on. System was very compact until then. They’re often half a second late to everything & it affects the team’s whole defensive structure. They simply don’t have the minimum athleticism required to play at this level.

@BenVerlander
The answer is obviously no, but that's beside the point. Someone was saying Ohtani could never do this, which is patently false.
@shoheisaveus
If Ohtani knew of Ippei's gambling problems, entering massive FA negationns and changing teams this off-season would have been the perfect timing to cut relations with him and get a new interpreter.
That's why I also believe he didn't know.
Just a reminder that Shohei Ohtani leads the Angels in HR, RBI, BB, hits, SB, SLG and OPS. He is 2nd in AVG and OBP. He also leads in W and K and is the only qualified pitcher for ERA.
Anyone who speaks against the unicorn should have their human rights removed in perpetuity.

Think harder. Does a bookie actually lose money by doing that? No. Doesn’t matter if he can’t collect the entire amount.
Those thugs are purposely generous with their credit. They actually want people to go bankrupt, then they chase them and squeeze them for life.
@Soycheerios
Same with the way he ran from 1B on Shohei’s double. Haven’t seen him hustle like that in ages. Not an indictment, he needs to protect himself, but you could see he was in a different mood today.
You can have bad takes, ridiculous takes even, and you'll be judged by viewers accordingly. But when you say "atomic bomb" in a situation involving a Japanese player it should be an automatic fire. Just like firig commentators for homophobic slurs. How is this not the case?
@espn
Where are your SPs who will throw 160 innings a year with era around 3?
You just saw that inning, lack of production with RISP is a team problem that won’t be magically solved after trading Ohtani.
Hot take: The Angels will have a better record in their first season without Ohtani than they will have ever had with Ohtani.
If I’m wrong, feel free to flame me then. But let’s check back at the end of 2024.
The

have optioned IF Jake Lamb, per their transactions page.
No word on who is coming up in his place. Jared Walsh is starting a rehab assignment tomorrow, but not expected to be ready till sometime next week.

Dear Rich,
If someone in your family comes to you and says they’ve been a victim of theft or assault, the correct response is “I’m sorry” and “I believe you”.
Hope that helps. You’re welcome.
The Angels for all their problems have class ppl in their organisation, and the true fans who actually go to games appreciate what Shohei did for them for 6 years.

Welcome Back Sho 😎✅
Angels welcome back & thank Shohei Ohtani for his good work in Anaheim at Angel Stadium. 🍊🌴
