Went to this school. They took our year group into an assembly to tell us we looked how they wanted the school to look when justifying a catchment area to block out that East London / Essex region. Weird assembly given they said the reason for it was extra curricular attendance.

Why is poetry being pushed as the one to drop? The canon is white, as are the curriculum and the teachers that enable whiteness' rootedness. If you're talking about hard to teach, dead off Victorian lit.
