@sarahfortransit #ACTransit Operator from the crowd points out that @rideact has the smaller buses already and those would work fine instead of microtransit. Flags that we need ATU 192 to be the union operator, not just some other union.

#ACTransit Dir. McCalley says ATU 192 could operate the microtransit. Says his community of Castro Valley pays sales & parcel tax but doesn't see service in his area. Wants microtransit study. @sarahfortransit clarifies that microtransit is being offered for CANCELLING route 15.

One of the things about the #ACTransit meeting that sticks out is the absence of engagement from the cities of Hayward, Fremont, and Richmond.

#ACTransit Director @sarahfortransit thanks people for holding the board accountable and coming out. Explains that she ran the numbers and found serious mistakes in the Title 6 Service Equity Analysis that this plan is required to meet in order to be approved.

@jwalshie Director @JovankaBeckles says there are too many questions about microtransit, how can we vote on it with so many unanswered questions. Says we should move to remove microtransit from the realign discussion #ACTransit.

@jwalshie @jwalshie says "we have committed to not using non-union labor." #ACTransit staff says they are legally required to work with the union. Says there isn't enough info on microtransit. Staff says they need approval to study it more.

Director Shaw says she'll vote for the resolution as stated #ACTransit. Director @jwalshie praises the "Realign Plus" plan and calls for looking more deeply at that, cites a letter from the Berkeley Council with concerns that haven't been addressed.

Director Shaw says the business community outside of the room support the plan. Says this won't hurt bus operator jobs-- gets yelled down by the crowd at #ACTransit.

AC Transit Director Chris Peeples says he thinks AC Transit staff did a good job on Realign. He's against microtransit w/o ATU. but sounds like he is fine with this proposal for microtransit w/o ATU #ACTransit - did we get that right?.
