Apparently a lot of the units participating are locals which is probably making the advance go faster but will also help with logistics they know all the little farm roads and things like that. They definitely outran their tracked vehicles and artillery units which are the bigest

Long term economics I see Ukraine taking a lot of the Russian business of selling upgrade packages for T-XX tanks and Soviet aircraft. I think the ready reserves might be a better short term option.

From what I can tell the Ukrainians are playing for time as they build up armored units they need to go on the offensive in a decisive way. The GBU-39 thing will allow them to raise hell on Russian supply lines when they start showing up on the front.
