before i begin:
the trevor foundation is a lovely charity, however not only is it limited to USA only, but there are so many other organizations that work to achieve different goals and people should learn more about them
the whole “she was smiling and laughing” part makes me so mad because when i’m in uncomfortable situations i fake smile and laugh to distract myself from what i’m feeling so how would george know if her smiling and laughing were genuine
Astraea Foundation:
Astraea raises and distributes funds to programs and initiatives led by and for diverse constituencies, prioritizing groups led by lesbians and queer women, trans and gender non-conforming people, intersex people, and people of color.
Black and Pink:
Dedicated to eradicating the prison-industrial complex. Connects with LGBTQ+ prisoners and offers various outreach programs, including a network of penpals
Pride MCC should be an unofficial MCC made to showcase lgbt creators rather than just picking from the same roster of players they currently have and calling it “pride”
Black Transwomen Inc:
BTWI has committed to empowerment, providing the trans-feminine community with programs and resources to help inspire individual growth and contributions to the greater good of society.
International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Organization:
ILGA acts as a leading organisation and a global voice for the rights of those who face discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation, gender identity and/or sex characteristic
Stonewall:
“At Stonewall, we stand for lesbian, gay, bi, trans, queer, questioning and ace (LGBTQ+) people everywhere. We imagine a world where all LGBTQ+ people are free to be themselves and we can live our lives to the full.”
National Queer Asian Pacific Islander Alliance:
The National Queer Asian Pacific Islander Alliance empowers LGBTQ+ Asians and Pacific Islanders through movement capacity building, policy advocacy, and representation.
Prism Foundation:
Prism Foundation empowers the Asian & Pacific Islander LGBTQ+ community by raising critical funds and mobilizing resources to build a more just and equitable society.
These are just a few of hundreds of charities all dedicated to make the lives of LGBT people better, it takes a simple google search to find any charity you might think of, so please take the time out of this pride month to donate even just $1 to any of these amazing charities
while lilac lesbians may not have won they have made such an important impact on the mcc community by being the first all lesbian team in MCC. we finally have the representation we always needed and i’m so glad these 4 are the ones inspiring others
@Michaelmcchill
@MrBeast
hey michael thanks again for saving all the animals in that burning shelter and then driving off into your super expensive and cool looking car to find them all forever homes
@bribelll
One of the best lgbt charities I’ve come across was recommended to me by my friend, it’s called the Okra Project and focuses on providing food to black trans individuals
hi !! i’m bri, im the creator of
@HearthSMP
, the all lesbian MC server (make sure to check them out as well) and tomorrow im doing a stream discussing lesbophobia with a few other cc’s. please check me out and tune into tomorrow’s stream
#lesbiansupport
“why do u want lesbians in smps so bad u should pick people off their content not their sexuality”
i don’t think y’all understand how much of an impact it would be on this community if a lesbian content creator was added to a large server like the bearsmp or the dsmp
alright im tired.
@smpupdate
lesbians have been begging you since saturday to be considerate about what’s happening to us by censoring names, or at LEAST retweet a bunch of threads. you’ve gone out of your way to help with other issues but as soon as it involves lesbians-
not exactly a charity organization but
@HearthGuilds
is an all-lesbian gaming group who has raised over $3k for different charities through their stream events and we should be doing one for pride month so maybe follow and keep an eye out :]
the whole situation with atrioc, especially now with his “apology”, just further supports how unsafe and unwelcome women are in the gaming community. male creators always scream about how women deserve to be fairly treated and how they wish there were more women in the industry-
hello to all my new followers ^-^ i’m bri, the creator/co-owner of
@HearthGuilds
the first all-lesbian gaming group !! we’re planning a charity event for black history month of February 12th and you can find more details in our pinned tweet!! i hope to see some of you there ❤️❤️
julian has given me the biggest ick ever since he said if he were going to cover good luck babe he would need to “change the lyrics for it to make sense”
petition for me to replace all of those lesbiphobic big accounts i’m funny, i have a cat with thumbs, i’m the creator of the all lesbian smp HearthSMP, i’m active a lot, and i stream (check out my twitch *lip bites*)
while i’m so grateful there’s more lgbt contestants this MCC there’s still a huge lack in diversity :// (as of rn) there’s no trans contestants, and only 2 poc contestants
pride was literally started by a black trans woman and to see the lack of representation is upsetting
pls don’t try to join hearth just to get close to big creators or to use our name as clout,,
we’re more than just some big name and knowing some people want to join just for those reasons is so ://
@nickisnotgreen
really ironic that you’ve become famous for calling out creators for doing things like this just to turn around and do the exact same thing 😐
lgbt streamers face SO much shit on twitch it’s not even funny. it took MONTHS for them to change the lesbian flag, they’ve been facing issues with average viewers and reach when any lgbt tags, and they’re constantly getting harassed and follow botted by homophobes
.
@Smajor1995
hi scott, this is the second time that you’ve ignored lesbians and a lot of us are tired. after you left out lesbians in the pride MCC you dm’ed one of my mutuals asking if they have lesbian content creators to link you, and after they sent you a bunch of threads-
okay but on a serious note ponk calling out that person was so valid bc shit like this happens all the time with any minority.
“why aren’t there more popular ___ on twitch” and then proceed to not support the ones that are already on twitch
directly support them;
whether that be donating money to someone in need, interacting with them if they’re a streamer (more than just a follow), or just talking to them and giving them a safe person to talk to about lesbian issues that’s not another lesbian
it’s not hard to ask for consent. it’s not hard to refrain from touching anyone until clear consent is received. this concept should not be hard for people to comprehend.
educate yourself;
use more than just twitter, carrds, or tumblr threads. look up articles about lesbian history, talk to a lesbian about their experiences growing up, educate yourself on current events that are happening.
don’t speak over us;
we decide what is/isnt lesbophobic. do not get offended for us. if there is something that seems offensive, ask someone you know that’s a lesbian and then ask what you can do to help with the issue.
Hello! I’m Bri ! i recently lost all of my twitch followers so i would really appreciate it if you could follow my twitch
i’m a funny and cool lesbians and the creator/co-owner of Hearth Guild
treat us as people;
stop. fetishizing. us. we are much more than some p0rn category and it’s honestly disgusting how normalized it is for people to sexualize lesbians.
