it's hard for people not connected to the military in some way to understand the amount of contempt that many enlisted personnel and the part of the lower officer core that are actual warriors, and not spiritually striver PMC types, have for the upper echelon generals and the permanent DoD blob they are essentially a protected class above any accountability while the class on the ground feels the consequences and is held to account for every little infraction trump, hegseth, etc don't have the institutional knowledge everyone would ideally want but no one who does is willing to lay the hammer down because to get into the club you were never that type to begin with

if you go back and look at the FTX commercial from the super bowl, the gist of the message was hurry up and buy crypto, dont miss out, etc…clearly spiritually scammy even though you could, at the time of that commercial, go on FTX and buy/sell shit…..FTX of course ended up lying, stealing, and went bankrupt if you watch Coinbase ads, nothing in it is about hurrying you up, its more about their ideals and what you can do with crypto etc…been around for over a decade, public company, regulated, generally good actor
