This video very nicely shows all the pros and cons of various radiotherapy options. Precision radiotherapy is exactly what my group is researching, where a radioactive substance is injected into the blood stream of a patient to allow specific irradiation of cancer cells only.

Exciting to announce that our Radiation Threats and Hazards Health Protection Research Unit is refunded on its own merit by the NIHR this round. Here's to 5 more years of funding around radiation research and protection. At @KingsImaging , we will be looking into the effects of radiation on endothelial cells as well as the biological impact of low dose exposure to people working in nuclear medicine and PET Centres
