Happy closing to Ragtime @NYCityCenter. What a shift must have occurred in this production's DNA between opening and three days ago. Last night it was almost too much to take. Sung from the very root, cathartic and devastating, almost Brechtian in moments. Art is hope. Allons!

The Connelly Theater suspending operations is genuinely distressing. That place is an absolute jewel. Scruffy, beautiful, vital.
