When I came to the US, people would greet/ask “how are you?”, and I would start explaining how I was, and they would impatiently walk faster. I realized only later that it was a greeting, where only one word answer was required in general.

Our new result with @madeleineudell + zhou: shows convergence rate for novel ltd memory variant of Bach's simpicial method for minimizing convex + submodular objectives --> solving Bach's conjecture (2015). Dual is ltd memory FCFW --> provably small subproblems, better run time!
