If one listens to the old lectures of Shaykh Ahmad, they can hear his humor in those lectures that isn't publicly seen or heard in his lectures today. I took a snippet out of one of Shaykh's old lectures and sent it to the Shaykh (not this video), telling him that he used to joke with his students all the time, but we don't get to see that in his lectures today. The Shaykh recalled that audio and said how those days were before trials began in his life, but what was really inspiring was how he refused to complain about anything. The Shaykh said, "Back then, with Allah's help first, then the sanctuary of a mother’s home, no matter the weight of the world’s hardships, peace was found, and all worries faded away."
