@tdorman
Todd is as Iowan as it gets. Born and raised in a small town, the whole 9 yards. He simply advocates for clean water, good public schools and decent treatment of our fellow Iowans. Is it that hard to understand?
Former Hawkeyes Megan Gustafson and Monika Czinano played against each other Friday night. Both played about 9 minutes. Czinano was supposedly released earlier this week by the Sparks. Apparently she was picked up again.
Crowd at CHA has fallen in love with Taylor McCabe, the freshman from Nebraska who holds all the 3-point records in that state. McCabe just made 4 3-pointers in the final 4 minutes of 3rdQ. Iowa up 97-42 over Rutgers headed to final quarter.
@NickPetaros
This is very difficult to understand. Newspapers have lived on the free labor of reporters, particularly sports reporters, who often (almost always) work well past the 40-hour max. Now they're firing someone for taking the initiative to do the job well?
This is a very neat ceremony: West High senior FB players are honoring a teacher who has had a big impact on them. Congrats to West for doing something to honor their teachers.
It's Hannah Stuelke's world and we're just here to watch. Iowa up 47-32 at half. Stuelke has 11 first-half points and just stole an inbounds pass and raced to the other end for a layup. As you all know, she's a former Washington Warrior.

@espn
Give it a rest; we know when Nick Saban, Jim Harbaugh, Luke Fickell and Kirby Smart play. Can you give a tiny bit of respect to the game(s) you're showing?
Penn State was doing stretches when Iowa came onto the floor and the crowd roared. You could see a couple of the PSU kids look at each other and at their radio guys. Welcome to a "neutral" game.
Iowa is going to win this one. Lots of things to celebrate. Monika's 2,000. Warnock's outstanding game, Clark's threes and Hannah Stuelke's performance on the boards.
Iowa advances to second round of NCAA women's soccer tournament with 2-0 victory over Bucknell. Goals by Josie Durr and Kelly McGroarty. Iowa will play Georgia in Clemson, S.C.
Iowa women's basketball upsets No. 2 Ohio State 83-72, handing Buckeyes their first loss of season. Caitlin Clark had a triple double in celebrating her birthday from the day before.
I know there's a lot of stuff going on in the world that is more important, but Iowans ought to think real hard about their Attorney General, the top law enforcement official in the state, endorsing a man who's been indicted for multiple crimes.
Congratulations to City High Alumni of the Year award winner Jen McHenry. Jen is the current City High Athletic Trainer and a Little Hawk through and through.
Iowa w soccer beats Penn State in overtime, 1-0, on a McGroarty goal off a ball that hit the crossbar and came back to her in the box. UI scored in the first 10-min OT and defended vigorously in the second OT. Championship match is Sunday vs Wisconsin.
@NickPetaros
Nick, you deserved a pat on the back and a free cold beverage at the end of the week. Did they think you were trying to start a union? Wow.
Clear Creek Amana beats Pella 75-59 in a 4A regional semifinal in Tiffin. Clippers were led by seniors Meagan Harvey (26 points), Karsyn Stratton (25) and Allie Rummelhart (10). Clips play at Marion Tuesday at 7 p.m.
@johnbohnenkamp
This is ridiculous. When will these rich idiots that own newspapers understand that their experienced work force is their stock in trade? So sorry. So angry.
