the safest way to generate, store & sign txs with a private key such that users are protected from their own ignorance (i.e. not being able to read or export the key) is via distributed key generated (DKG) & multi party computation (MPC) but passkey owned smart contract wallets may be even safer & this completely eliminates the need for a traditional private key or seed phrase as the biometrics (face or fingerprint) associated with the passkey is technically the private key - would recommend reading up on RIP-7212 to learn more on the same!
