Hey, people who used to follow me on Twitter… what are you doing still hanging around here? We had a lot of fun, but those days are gone. The sooner you can see that too, the better off you’ll be.

@alichehrehsaz @KyleCherrick For sure, a building with an RO plant will use a lot more energy than a similar building with no RO plant. It will also produce a lot more clean water, so I guess there are advantages and disadvantages.

@alichehrehsaz @KyleCherrick EUI is a pointless thing to measure and compare in this context. RO plants (like data centres) are built on a minimised footprint, because land is valuable. But you could build them over a much larger area if minimising EUI is what’s important to you.

Some of us don’t have high-quality drinking water, and it’s putting public health at risk. How do we deliver universal access? Something I wrote about the new ⁦@ozprodcom⁩ National Water Reform report out today.

@LocalReason @Jonas_Arrow Big holes through mountains are certainly possible to build. See examples around the world, built to carry railways and roads.

With climate change and growing populations, our water supplies are facing unprecedented challenges. I spoke with @Sydney_Uni Vice Chancellor, @mscott on #TheSolutionists. We discuss how recycled water may be the key to Australia’s future water security.
