The genga is alright. Ok drawings...
The problem is the douga. It's comically bad.
I went through frame by frame and discovered that sometimes whole sections of line work from the last key drawing would be copypasted into the next in-between.
That's what caused the choppiness.

I drew layouts for 11 cuts including these 😌. Some of those were altered heavily so I can't claim them as mine.
I was secretly praying for the finale of this arc to have a few good animated action scenes, and to my surprise in terms of animation it definitely delivered. Sasuke’s chidori sequence was superb.

Apparently the majority of anime Twitter got their animation degrees last night coz no way y'all are trying to downplay an amazing feat of animation and draftsmanship.
Even grounded sequences like these are as technically sound as the bombastic scenes you think of as insane.
Even though I hate boruto I have the upmost respect for the animators
But calling that cut "insane" one hell of a stretch
It's just good
Boruto fans gaslighting themselves into thinking that's top tier animation after the last few episodes they've been getting

Finished revising and updating the boards. Number of cuts ballooned from 29 to 44. Haven't timed it or produced an animatic yet so I'm not sure of length, but it could easily reach 2 mins 🥲.
On the other hand, I've gotten faster at sketching rough poses.

Tokumaru opts for a lot of leaping around, sweeping kicks, bold poses and bodily thrown actors. He makes great use of the environment and spreads the fight over a wide area.
I think his style is very effective at showcasing a very fast-paced and agile fighting style. (2/2)

Freelancers are literally the backbone of the series at this point lol. I'm genuinely surprised how the anime keeps airing with how awful the schedule is.
Also don't forget Hiroyuki Yamashita, Masayuki Kouda, Naoki Kobayashi, Chengxi Huang, etc were trained on Shippuden
More Problems:
It's been very clear to me Boruto was being used as a freelancer training ground. Theres no quality control and the production has been a mess for years. 20 ADs on one episode. To many artstyles and creative cuts being changed/redone for simpler time efficiency.

Dope episode 9/10. That Ken Imaizumi cut 😭😭🔥 and the homage to Naruto v Sasuke.
Rough around the edges tho. They really need that hiatus. Better if it's like 6 months to a year. And get rid of all that airbrushing and blurring. What happened to the simple cel shaded look?
