By the age of 30, you should -
Nah I’m not doing that shit. Some people I knew never made it to that age. Live every day with purpose and intent.
That’s it.
@Gymshark
Whoever is reading this, you’re gonna do great things. All great things take time. Stay the course and you’ll accomplish what you sought out to do. 💜
Some viewers give you money. Some give you great conversations. Some give you their time. Some support your content on socials because they may not catch your stream.
All are valid. People give in a way they can and that is enough 💜
You want
@twitch
to notice? Don't stream. Don't donate. Don't give your time to them.
#twitchblackout
happening 6/24 WED 12am-11:59pm in your respective time zone.
We're serious about change and wanting action taken for a platform we love. Let's act on it.
Enchanted Portals: Can I copy your homework?
Cuphead: Sure just make it look different so it doesn't look like you just copied it.
Enchanted Portals: Sure thing.
BOYYYY if this isn't borderline plagiarism....
I hear a lot of people say 30 is old..
Currently, I’m in better shape. I make more money. I live in a safer neighborhood. I feel more comfortable with myself. I don’t allow bullshit to enter my life.
Being in your 30s isn’t bad at all.
Twitch Partners are not trying to flex with having their check marks enabled in chat. They’re a viewer just like everybody else and want to hang and enjoy consuming someone else’s content.
It’s something they’ve earned and have the right to display it. Get over it.
Twitch: "Hey we're gonna give you DMCA copyright strikes on older clips, but we don't have the system to help you remove them"
Also....
Twitch: "Hey you can get follow botted, have racist usernames, and get banned for following TOS on our platform"
See the issue here?
I need racist usernames to be prevented from being created on this platform.
You have amazing black creators and we don't deserve shit like that every time we go live.
Actions will always speak louder than words. Do them wisely Twitch.
There seems to be a lot of misconceptions about being a Twitch Partner.
I’ve been a Partner for about a year and a half now. I’m gonna share how it’s been from my perspective and clear some stuff up.
Buckle up. 🧵 (1/5)
So about that ANNOUNCEMENT...
I was contacted by
@Twitch
with the opportunity to be featured on the front page/black brilliance carousel all month long with some phenomenal creators!
Very grateful for the opportunity and excited to be a part of this! 💜
If you want to help a streamer shake their anxiety off, say hi on their Starting Soon screen!
It does wonders knowing people look forward to engaging with your content!
It’s also FREE 💜
Black people are still getting killed in the streets and justice hasn't been served.
Just because you don't see it trending doesn't mean it's not happening. Don't accept this as "regular life".
#BlackLivesMatter
By the age of 30, you should -
Nah I’m not doing that shit. Some people I knew never made it to that age. Live every day with purpose and intent.
That’s it.
Don't use
#twitchblackout
as a way to shame other streamers that aren't participating please.
We all want the same thing in the end, even if it means going about it in a different way
All ima say is...
Don't take it personal if you got a Founder's Badge notification and you don't have actually have a badge. Especially when you haven't visited a channel in months or even years.
They should be for people that made your community their home.
Twitch Chat 101:
Don't walk into a chat and ask "Why is this chat dead?"
People lurk. People are busy. It adds additional unnecessary pressure to the streamer.
End of session.
Listen…
Not logging into any games associated with Activision Blizzard for a day isn’t gonna kill you. Some of y’all haven’t been laid in months/years and yet you’re still alive right?
You’ll live. Play something else today.
The fact people are focusing more on Amouranth being married than her being abused is sick. Y'all need to get your shit together.
I hope she gets out of her toxic situation and leaves her husband with nothing.
Following someone on Twitch does NOT mean you can say whatever you want to the streamer in chat.
Please understand we’re not that desperate for a follow and would rather ban you instead of allowing your slander to go any further.
In your Twitch community, you have a variety of people:
People that donate/sub
People that chat
People that lurk
People that mod
People that do multiple of the above
One isn't more important than the other. Appreciate it all 💜
Let’s normalize men giving compliments to other men.
What’s wrong with saying “Bro you looking fly today!” or “You looking kinda swole” I remember it was frowned upon growing up.
Not a single thing is wrong with the previous statements.
The real important question here…
Who is using the text of Twitch emotes in text messages, DMs, etc.
I be catching myself about to type KEKW and then realize.. “this person doesn’t know what that means” 😅
No white person can tell me how to feel about black issues when you’ve never stepped a day in my shoes and that’s that.
If you have a problem with my above statement, you know where to go.
Like I said, this is all from my perspective so take it with a grain of salt.
I’m no different than everyone else here.
We’re all on the same team. We all want to get paid. We all want to be respected. We all want to be rewarded for our work.
That’s all I got. (5/5)
I need to be okay with just lurking.
I need to be okay with just lurking.
I need to be okay with just lurking.
I need to be okay with just lurking.
I need to be okay with just lurking.
I need to be okay with just lurking.
If you can make it to the beginning of a streamer's stream, you bring down their anxiety by a lot. We all have a fear nobody will show up.
Do us a favor and help us out 💜
Anybody find it difficult to engage with their Discord enough with a full time job, creating content and actually resting?
It's a lot tougher than I thought it would be.
I didn't grow up with a lot of gifts. I always felt weird when someone wanted to get me something. It's why I don't have a lot of expensive items on my wishlist.
Sometimes, your community just wants to see you succeed. I love them with all my heart.
@SteelSeries
I’m a fellow Christian. I believe in the Almighty God.
I would never push my beliefs onto anyone. I would never tell anyone Jesus doesn’t love them or that you’re going to Hell if you follow a different religion
The fuck is wrong with people
Whether you donate
Whether you use your platform to speak up
Whether you call out the racists
Whether you protest
DO SOMETHING. BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE.
I still work a full time job to pay my bills. I pay everything. My payout has never covered my rent once. It doesn’t even cover half now.
Some people have roommates. Some are married. Some live at home.
Everyone’s circumstances are different. Be mindful of that. (4/5)
Crazy to think on Twitch, you can have 50 people watching you and they'll say it's a "Recommended smaller community" on the site.
I think a lot of people would wish for 50 people watching them ya know?
Nothing has really changed so to speak. More emotes yeah, but what if I told you I had better viewership as an affiliate instead of a partner?
Y’all ready for that kind of imposter syndrome? Knowing what your worth is but your numbers don’t reflect that? (3/5)
A lot of the partners you know are still getting a 50/50 sub split. I’m not sure where that came from. If you’re making a ton of dough, it may be negotiable.
Partners do not automatically have their bank accounts filled with money when they achieve the milestone. (2/5)
I KNOW some of y’all gamers out here not complaining about a Latina woman being the protagonist for GTA VI???
What’s wrong with Rockstar wanting to try something new? Go in a different direction?
Nothing. Stop acting childish.
I’ll leave y’all with this:
Uplift others. Believe in each other. You don’t need to trample others to succeed. Stay in your lane. Get your bag. Win. Help others win.
The end.
As a streamer, one of the skills I feel is essential is continuing to talk when chat may feel slow or stop completely.
Tell your audience your thought process. What are your next steps? How are you gonna tackle a certain enemy?
They’re still watching 💜
Support people because you love them, believe in them and want them to succeed.
If you're main motive is because you want something from them or you like their numbers, you're thinking of this the wrong way.
Becoming a Twitch Partner is great and all, but you ever make an impact on someone's life?
You don't need to be a Partner to do that. Just a person that cares about other people.
Remember when Twitch introduced the Founder badge for a channel?
They were pretty cool right? But now I'm curious..
Who still sees their viewers with the Founder badge stop by their stream?
If we replaced every “Sorry” with “Thank You”, it can change how much weight our words have.
Instead of saying “Sorry, I’m late”, say “Thank you for waiting for me”. You see the impact one has versus the other?
Turn that negative into a positive whenever you can.
🎂 33 🎂
Feel like I’m just starting to come into my own. A lot has happened in my life I never thought would happen and yet, here we are! Thankful for all the people I’ve crossed paths with because it helped me get here. 💜

Testing. Testing. This is a public service announcement.
Friend Requests on Twitch do not do anything and I do not check those at any point in time.
That is all. Have a wonderful day.
Our first stream as Twitch Partner... absolutely out of this world. I never knew I had so many people that supported me and saw me...
Unlocked an emote slot. People telling me I do belong. People telling me they appreciate it.. it was a lot.
Thank you for believing in me. 💜
Everybody isn't your friend. A lot of people you know are really acquaintances and that's perfectly okay. Some labels aren't meant to be used so loosely.
This content creation shit is hard.
There are no guarantees you’ll succeed. You’ll ride the highs hard and hit the lows even harder.
Why is it so satisfying?
Because being rewarded for something you love is better than being rewarded for something you don’t care about.
