If you’re looking for a new book to read - Captured Thoughts by Ibn Al-Jawzi. It’s more costly but it covers a wider multitude of topics, entirely thought provoking. Ibn al-Jawzi has a similar style of eloquence to ibn Al-Qayyim. A favourite comfort read of mine, الحمد لله

I like to think that maybe being able to witness a pretty sunrise after fajr is like a lil form of mercy. Really always leave me in awe how beautiful our Lord created the dunya, and then I remember this is nothing compared to jannah. then I’m j like hm that’s lovely سبحان الله

It’s interesting the consideration of if niqab is an optional act of worship. Family often tell me it’s not obligated for a woman to cover her face but the more I look into this aspect of fiqh, the more it affirms to me that niqab is the right path (for myself) -
