@MorrisonBeth And yet if it happened at home and a teacher reported it the law would come down like a ton of bricks on the parents before you could take a breath. I do not know how the authorities sleep at night with this complete violation of human rights and physical/emotional harm

@MorrisonBeth What a load of rubbish!! It’s called reasonable adjustment. You wouldn’t punish a person at work for using valid reasonable adjustments. Get the adjustments right and the need for support drops. #discrimination #nurturenotpunish.

@MorrisonBeth Really! ???! It’s not even compassion - it’s understanding and awareness of the yp and their environment and then working out why they are distressed and how to help them with compassion. So sad to hear about these Victorian approaches in 21st century!!
