The First World War ended at the 11th hour, on the 11th day, in the 11th month of 1918. We made our solemn Act of Remembrance at the College War Memorial earlier to honour the memory of those who gave their lives for us to live today.

OS90 Jonty Warneken has swum his way into the history books by becoming the first amputee to swim the North Channel solo!
Jonty achieved his incredible 33.5-mile effort in under 16 hours, raising money for the charity Open Country.

It is with considerable sadness that we announce the passing of Adrian Aylward, Stonyhurst Headmaster from 1996 to 2006. Adrian died at home in Devon with his family by his side. Our thoughts and prayers are with them at this sad time. RIP.

Hugo (Grammar) had the privilege of meeting the former England cricket captain, Sir Ian Botham, last week. The cricket legend chatted about his cricket as a player as well as Hugo's style of cricket and playing for Lancashire U15's, Longridge CC and Stonyhurst.
