I worked in NHS & can confirm this as NHS secretaries were unable to understand some audio dictation of Drs, if the letters were not checked by the Dr carefully there would be mistakes, particularly when dictating numbers on dosages of meds or results. Very dangerous.

I think part of the fear is whether you are remanded or bailed if you plead “not guilty”. Also amount of time due to backlog of processing “not guilty” trials is another deterrent as, if remanded you are kept in prison until trial date, which could be months. Bullying lawfare!
