Last week, Year 5 enjoyed a fun-themed Space Day, learning about the moon cycles with Oreos, creating planet top trumps and drawing the solar system. The children also carried out a moon crater investigation and designed a ‘Mars Base’ using their knowledge of the planet! 🌕🪐

Our Year 5 Football team travelled to Manchester for the AJIS Football Tournament recently. They won their group without conceding a single goal and had a close semi final game beating Merchant Taylors. However, lost in the final to Bolton during penalties. Well done Year 5!⚽️

Congratulations to our Y6 Football Team who won the Peter Dowd Cup Final yesterday after beating Valewood Primary School 2-0.🏆 Kaya S gave us the lead in the first half before Reuben V scored in the second. Isaac P made a vital save at 1-0 to keep us in the lead. Well done all!

Infants had an absolute blast on Friday for Space Day!🚀 The children wore space-themed costumes and enjoyed various space-themed activities throughout the day. We also welcomed @WonderDome1 to the Prep, where the children learnt fun facts about space in an immersive planetarium!

Reception children had a wonderful time learning about the #LunarNewYear celebrations. The children drew Chinese numbers, made a Chinese dragon and designed their own Chinese restaurant before enjoying Chinese cuisine together and putting their chopstick skills to the test! 🐲🥢

Yesterday, we were delighted to welcome Claire Colleran from @MissioUK into school, to deliver an assembly linked to the Jubilee Year of Hope. The children were reminded of the work that Mission Together do and how we can work together to be pilgrims of hope for others. 👫✨
