It is with extreme sadness that we share the news of former teacher Eugene Dunleavy’s passing. Eugene was a respected and loved friend and colleague who will be missed greatly by all of us in the Bish community.

The legend that is Michael Small is retiring today after 43 years in The Bish. Possibly the longest serving member of staff that we have ever had. Our sincerest congratulations to him and his family on his retirement. We will miss this brilliant character and incredible teacher.

The BOM are pleased to announce the appointment of Sarah Gleeson to the role of Deputy Principal. Sarah has been a member of the Bish community since 2007. We know that she will bring the same energy and enthusiasm to her new role as she has done in her teaching and counselling.

Deepest sympathies to the family of former student Brendan Hurley who passed away suddenly. Brendan, who was a former prefect, graduated from the Bish in 1995. He will be fondly remembered by all in the Bish community. We will keep his family in our prayers. May he rest in peace
