I had pleasure of meeting Igraine Hamilton when raising funds for Bomber Command Memorial. Herewith link for short extract of interview with Igraine. Prior to becoming a WAAF Igraine volunteered in burns unit at East Grinstead assisting Archibald McIndoe.

Many is the time I've heard Colin enthrall an audience with his wartime anecdotes, and his recent fundraising activities for the RAF Benevolent Fund have been nothing short of remarkable. Colin flew 50 operations during Second World War and awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross.

Great memory from 12 years ago when we held a fund raising signing of the Bomber Command Memorial book at the RAF Museum.

Saying farewell to Roger Cole today, who I had the pleasure of working with publishing his book High Flight about Spitfire pilot and poet John Magee. 'Where never lark, or even eagle flew' RIP Roger.

@JackMacCFB In human history? So I reckon it must be up there with Hitlers decision to invade Russia or Boudicca's frontal assault on a well disciplined Roman army. In which case he really has messed up.
