During lockdown I posted a summary: 30 years successful knowledge about making online learning work . It's still a very helpful resource: #online #education @bphillipsonMP

@shanechowen they seem to be going after anything that might actually help with post BREXIT Growth. Lifelong learning? Upskilling? Ingenuity? Creativity? cut cut cut

@Miss_Snuffy ...as have so very many others too. This is an encouraging statement from @bphillipsonMP . I'm not sure the Department welcomes robust challenges or different views though - I think my DfE pass has expired!

@Miss_Snuffy @bphillipsonMP Well done; that's a good letter. She is haemorrhaging teachers, heads, students and votes at the moment. Hopefully the votes bit will get things back on track. Such an opportunity...

@dave_mcpartlin Well that is spot on isn’t it? And it is all stuff that we know (& can evidence) to be effective. I don’t know why heads and unions don’t get together and put much of this in place?

RT @warwickmansell: What's the evidential basis for this? No great difference in results between academies and non-academies. Big MATs seem…

I “welcome” the new Ofsted “report cards”. They are effectively a plea for Ofsted to be shut down. If that’s the best Ofsted can do, post Ruth, with all the time, advice and wisdom available to them ( but ignored) then they demonstrably can’t change and need to go. The £160m saved might be better used to help schools support each other. Remember how affordably effective Talking Heads was with 21,000 heads interconnected
