Cracking picture I remember those Leyland / BMC vans Sunblest, City Bakeries and British Rail had loads of them. My neighbour drove one of those Leyland Marathons for James Hunter of Wishaw, was always parked close to our house with some sort of steel fresh from Ravenscraig.

Another night shift with the stoneblower at Dumfries. Whilst most are asleep in their beds an army of operations and infrastructure engineers are repairing the railway. Acting as barrier attendant whist the machine works within the crossing controls. A very wet night !

Night shift at Brasswell AHB Dumfries on the G&SW. Brasswell on local control and I will be the barrier attendant tonight. This will allow the Stone blower to work within the crossing controls without activating the red wig wags and lowering of the barriers.
