@joshshepperd absolutely. ending higher education has been the goal for the Rs for a long time. we all know why.

today @PurduePresident told Senate that there were 1000s of bills and he wasn't sure what would be passed. no one believed he was this unaware. looks like Purdue will be political by staying silent while the state eliminates diversity. because silence *is* a statement.

this is what's at stake in Indiana re: NIH funding. I hope @LifeAtPurdue speaks out in support of one of the key activities of universities

today I learned that now @LifeAtPurdue is not publishing stories that celebrate diversity. just because the fed govt hates diversity doesn't mean we have to. so much for freedom of speech, @PurduePresident

really hope that @PurduePresident and @PurdueProvost publicly speak out against actions that actively harm @LifeAtPurdue and silence *is* communication. there is no such thing as objective, non-political speech. it's all political.
The Trump administration’s NIH freezes do not only affect federal science agencies. NIH grants fund research at universities and many other institutions. Halting NIH grant reviews sabotages important scientific research everywhere.

spare me this bullshit. I live in IN and this state does not "protect" kids. if kids mattered, the state wouldn't have deprofessionalized edu. guess parents rights don't matter here. if parents can't make health decisions for their kids why does school choice exist then?
🚨The Seventh District Court of Appeal's decision today is a huge win for Hoosiers and will help protect our most precious gift from God — our children. By rejecting the injunction against our commonsense state law, dangerous and irreversible gender-transition procedures for minors will remain banned in Indiana. Read the full order here:

I've been reading lots of takes tonight and this is the one I think resonates the most. Dems need to let go of what was and recognize the only way forward is an entirely new party.
I'm going to leave this here. Gaza didn't sink Harris alone, but it's part of her story. The rest comes down to blowback from 30 years of neoliberalism, which Trump exploited with hate and false promises to a gullible electorate that wants change but doesn't know where to turn.
