While calling Iowa voters this evening, it was disheartening to hear how the caucus format didn't allow them to participate. One woman was 94 y.o. Another has a husband w a medical condition that doesn't allow them to be in large crowds. Several people had to work. #IowaCaucuses.
Observation: My 78 and 82 year old parents have never missed a presidential primary vote in their (voting eligible) lives. But there is a 0% chance they would ever sit on a gym floor for 3 hours in order to cast their ballot. At least at the MDP convention we have chairs.
