Over the last few weeks I watched and rewatched footage from the protest, identifying where journalists were attacked, their equipment stolen or damaged, and the circuitous route protesters took through the surrounding neighborhood. Press were deliberately and routinely targeted:
The @uspresstracker was able to confirm more than two dozen total aggressions against members of the press that day, ranging from assault to harassment, pepper-spraying to destroying equipment. Read about these cases here:
