prettier lazor beamz for IV2 when laser pointers are installed on weapons - now they light up their path - looks great, and also makes them a lot more visible to the player, and reminds the player they're very visible when using laser pointers ;) #gamedev #indiedev

after god knows how many iterations of lightmap-based ambient occlusion, i finally got it to look exactly how i want it - adds AO to places where light can't reach, doesn't add AO to bright places, and doesn't smudge it all over the place #indiedev #gamedev

can now install a suppressor with no booster on a pistol - with it on the gun does not cycle, and requires manual slide racking, but makes a bit less noise as a result still not as good as the VP9, but yet another option for stealth players :) #gamedev #indiedev

i was hoping to release the game while my dad was still here, but he passed away on June 1st of 2023 due to a blood clot in his lung ultimately, IV2 is my attempt at immortalizing my father, and so the story comes from a very honest place hope you guys like the game 2/2

Intravenous 2 is going to be much better than the first - a bulk of dev time for IV1 went on all the tech to make the game side of things to work with IV2 the tech from IV1 is already there - what's left is to build the GAMEPLAY on top and improve existing features 1/3

added a blur effect when aiming with a weapon that has a 2X scope weapon mod on it to make close quarters combat more difficult and to reduce spatial awareness, further making it less fit for CQC :-) #indiedev #gamedev

in IV1, when firing, the bullet could go anywhere within the crosshair range IV2 simulates the shooter's inability to manage the weapon's recoil - the bullet trajectory remains more uniform, but strays left/right occasionally (moreso w/ full-auto fire) 1/2 #indiedev #gamedev

since all side-missions in IV2 have you play as Steve, the tracks for them are going to be VIP versions of several tracks from IV1 - Xtrullor's shared a WIP of one of them so far with me and its such a big upgrade of said track, you guys are going to love it
