One of the most important things you should know when owning a fursuit (except knowing how to wash it properly) is how to do a tight, even blanket stitch. Popped seams will happen, even if you're as gentle as you can be. You should always be prepared for when that happens! :)

I agree with lots of points in their thread, but not this one. I can fully refund any client at any time. I never touch money until the client receives their item and they're happy. That money isn't mine until products are completed and delivered. If you're considering starting.
No maker has sufficient income to comfortably refund unhappy clients. No matter how much you try to prepare there is no feasible way to hand over thousands of dollars without warning. Refunds negatively affect qualify of life AND work for the suit maker.

Fewer fursuit makers are offering payment plans nowadays and I keep seeing people being angry about it. Fursuit makers aren't banks. When we allow payment plans, we're essentially being forced to act like a bank. We are forced to keep track of money that we can't use, we have to.
